We have been searching for the perfect purse and think we have come up with it! They are great for travel! The Original holds (among other things) a paperback book and a water bottle. The Large will hold magazines.

Several pocket options help you organize your stuff. The outside triple pocket has 3 large sections. The other side has a single pocket. Or, you can use a single pocket on each side. The segmented pocket inside can be divided to suit your needs. There is an inside zipper pocket too.

The choices for fabric combinations are endless. Piece fabric from scraps or add embroidery or other embellishment.

The pattern, including the zipper insertion, is easy to make. Our friends admire them, covet them, and beg for more of them!!

Supplies Original and Large
Purse Body Fabric - Purse Body, Straps and
Outside Triple Pocket		 1 1/2 yards
Accent Fabric - Lining, Accent and Small Pocket 1 yard
Batting (Warm and Natural or equivalent) 1/2 yard (90" width)
Interfacing - Pellon 50 weight or equivalent 1 3/4 yards
Zipper - Purse - Separating Original - 14 inch>
Large - 16 inch
Zipper - Inside Zipper Pocket 9 inch All-Purpose

Fabric requirements are for a purse with an Outside Triple Pocket and a Small Outside Pocket.
Note: Purse with 2 small pockets can be made from the same yardage by using the body fabric for the inside segmented pocket. For other variations, see layouts to calculate fabric yardage.
